No.

Sonny Thomas (Campaigns Officer)

What is one thing you hope to achieve this year?
Run an effective universal student allowance campaign and get more students involved in campaigns on campus!

Helen or John (or other)?
Helen. She can stitch together a coalition better than anyone else. And she’s a better leader.

Predict this year’s VUWSA Exec scandal.
No.

Rachael Wright (Queer Officer)

What is one thing you hope to achieve this year?
Queer mentoring scheme, helping to create stimulating, thought-provoking, opinion-changing debates on campus, and making the world a more awesome place.

Helen or John (or other)?
They can both go lick my piss.

Predict this year’s VUWSA Exec scandal.
I shall wed Kate Moss, she shall become my (free) PA. Pete Doherty will consume too much cocaine, travel to Wellington to win her back, and end up barricading himself inside the VUWSA offices playing us all Babyshambles until we relent. However, my love for Kate Moss is too strong for him to overcome, and Pete Doherty shall instead become VUWSA President whilst Kate and I eat lots of pies and move to Taihape.

Katie de Roo (Clubs Officer)

What is one thing you hope to achieve this year?
Make myself known on campus so that I am an easy and accessible port of call for any issues/aspirations that clubs have.

Helen or John (or other)?
Helen 100%. She is a true [New Zealand] leader that will continue to take New Zealand forward as she has done from 1999. John will take us back to the 90s, and who wants that? Predict this year’s VUWSA Exec scandal. Melissa, alcohol, naked man, security… oh wait, hasn’t that already happened?

Salient

Salient is a magazine. Salient is a website. Salient is an institution founded in 1938 to cater to the whim and fancy of students of Victoria University. We are partly funded by VUWSA and partly by gold bullion that was discovered under a pile of old Salients from the 40's. Salient welcomes your participation in debate on all the issues that we present to you, and if you're a student of Victoria University then you're more than welcome to drop in and have tea and scones with the contributors of this little rag in our little hideaway that overlooks Wellington.
