Te Ūpoko o te Ika whānau o te Pāti Māori
By | 23 Jul, 2007
Ko te whānau o te Ūpoko o te Ika o te Pāti Māori tētahi whānau awhi i ngā kaupapa, huri noa i te rohe nei.
He aha a mātou mahi? He maha tonu.
Hui ai mātou ia marama, i ngā Rātapu mutunga o ia mārama. Ko tētahi anō o ā mātou kaupapa kōrero, me pēhea mātou e kohi moni ai mō te kaupapa? Otirā he rāwhera, he hoko ti-hāte, he maha ngā mahi kohi moni. Hei aha ēnei mahi? Hei utu i ngā nama a te tau e heke mai ana i te pōtitanga nui.
He hāte kēhi ētahi o ā mātou mahi – kei ētahi taima kua hīkoi mātou, kua tautoko rānei i ngā mahi a ngā mema, heoi he tū i roto i te makariri hoko tī- hāte ai ētahi o ā mātou mahi, ka mau te wehi e hoa mā. Ahakoa he aha te kaupapa, kua kitea mātou ki reira.
He aha te tū tangata e pīrangi ana koutou hei reo mō tātou? Me wahine? Me kaumātua? Me mōhio ki te reo? Me takatāpui?
Kimihia, rangahaua!
I hua mai tēnei kaupapa i ngā kaupapa tonu o te Pāti e kī ana, e tika ana te manaaki a te tangata, kia whāia te wairuatanga me te kotahitanga i raro i te Tiriti o Waitangi. Tirohia tā mātou whakarārangi kaupapa i tā mātou ipurangi.
Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou rā.

Well you should just get over the fact that you had major issues back then about Maori sovereignty and that you needed to find out the consequences the hard way. Serious attitude problems do get you in trouble apparently, especially when someone like you gets involved with Maori. no wonder you never got that voluntary job at the museum
