Campus Coaches
By | 18 Feb, 2008
Campus Coaches will help you to:
Meet other students in your course / faculty – as you’ll be part of a small group of other new students enrolled in the same degree.
Know more about Vic – what if offers you and how it works – hear about academic and support services from your Campus Coach, who will be a senior student from your faculty who understands the challenges of being a new student here at Victoria.
Have a group of buddies for your first few weeks at uni – get to know others, be shown the social hotspots and have some fun along the way!
Even if you have friends coming to Vic, you may not share any of the same classes. Campus Coaches offers you the chance to meet fellow students from your class – and to meet a wide mix of new potential friends. Our Halls Head Start programme differs from Campus Coaches so we encourage first years in halls to join Campus Coaches as well.
If you wish to register for the Campus Coaches programme come along to the Vital Vic Info session on your Faculty orientation day – Wednesday 20 or Thursday 21 February – where explanations will be given on how to enrol, etc. The Campus Coaches will be introduced to their groups after these sessions and will interact with their group that day and during the following three weeks. If you don’t make it to campus on these New Student Orientation days email campus-coaches@vuw.ac.nz or phone 463-5233 ext 8986.
Don’t miss this opportunity to get a really good start at Victoria – so do join Campus Coaches.
