Academic Idol: Round three

ANOTHER GREAT week for the competition, with four times the votes of the previous week. It was another edge-of-your-seat week if you were on this end of things. A new addition to the competition was made, with online voting at www.salient.org.nz. Note that it is impossible to vote twice, and check that you are voting for who you want to LEAVE.

So who got the chop? Sadly, it’s time to say good bye to Peter Andreae, who in lasting two weeks in the competition hung around for about the same amount of time that ‘Mysterious Girl’ stayed in the public consciousness all those years ago.

And so now there are ten. This week the competitors task was to write a haiku on their chosen field of study. (I have allowed in a couple which didn’t really fit the brief, but you can judge them with the iron fist of independent decision making.)
